First Step

This initial meeting is the first part in the process of finding your dream home, so congratulations for taking this step! We are committed to helping you establish your goals and realize your dreams, which I do by listening to you and only bringing you homes that fit your criteria. I would like to learn what exactly you desire in your next purchase, which is why I encourage you to define your “Need to Have”, “Want to Have”, and your “Absolutely Do Not Want” in your new home. Please have each decision maker fill out their own form so I can fully understand your needs. Search criteria may include a minimum number of bedrooms, nearby amenities, parking spaces available, location, size of yard, turnkey versus a fixer upper, and so on.

Once we have determined your price point, area, and type of home you are looking for, I will begin to look at all the homes available on the market. I will set you up with an MLS search which will give you full access to homes in your area that fit your parameters. Upon viewing active inventory, you can select your favorites online so that I can set up an appointment with the listing agent to view the home. Many times, homes are much different in person than pictures show online, sometimes for the better and sometimes the worse; it’s all part of the process!

At anytime should you see or hear about a home that is intriguing to you, all you need to do is call or text me so I can make arrangements for us to view the home! When the time does come to preview properties, I recommend choosing 3-5 of your favorites to view over the course of the day, during which time we will spend anywhere from a few minutes up to half an hour at each property; it doesn’t take much time for you to either see or not see potential in a home, within just a few moments of stepping inside!

Again, if you see any homes in the market that you have questions about, please contact me so I can help you. Write down a list of concerns or comments so you are more prepared about the home when we do see it. The goal is to buy a house from an informed, educated decision, not an emotional one. After viewing homes, we will discuss the prospects of the day and either move forward with a written offer, or discuss what was missing in the homes we saw that day so that the next batch will bring us closer to success.
